This Privacy Policy covers all apps published by Mike Murphy Apps, including:

MoodBMI Mood Pulse: Daily Wellness Log Aura: Migraine & Pain Log PillPopper Ounce: Daily Hydration Log

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, and protected when using these apps (collectively, “the Apps”).

By using the Apps, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

The Apps are designed to minimize data collection. Depending on which app and features are used, the Apps may store:

  • Mood and wellness tracking entries
  • PHQ-9 assessment responses
  • GAD-7 assessment responses
  • Migraine and pain log entries, including physician contact details you choose to enter
  • Medication reminder entries
  • Hydration and beverage log entries, including drink type and volume
  • Optional HealthKit-related wellness data

The Apps do not intentionally collect personally identifying information, and none of the Apps require an account or sign-in.

2. Health and Wellness Disclaimer

These apps are informational wellness tools only. The Apps:

  • Do not provide medical diagnoses
  • Do not replace professional healthcare advice
  • Are not intended for emergency use
  • Should not be relied upon as medical treatment

If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, contact a qualified healthcare professional or emergency services immediately.

3. Apple HealthKit

If enabled by the user, the Apps may access Apple HealthKit data. For example, Ounce can write logged drink volume to HealthKit's Dietary Water data type, and other apps may read or write related wellness data.

HealthKit data:

  • Is accessed only with user permission, granted through Apple's standard authorization prompt
  • Is used solely for app functionality
  • Is not sold to third parties
  • Is not used for advertising purposes

Users may revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in the Health app's Sources settings.

4. Data Storage

Data is stored only locally on the user's device — on iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch as applicable — and within Apple-provided systems such as iCloud, if enabled by the user. None of the Apps send data to servers operated by Mike Murphy Apps, because no such servers exist.

Ounce specifically makes no network calls of any kind. All hydration data is stored using SwiftData directly on the Apple Watch.

Reasonable safeguards are used to help protect user information.

5. Platform and Third-Party Services

The Apps rely on certain Apple platform services that may be required for application functionality:

  • Apple App Store
  • Apple HealthKit (if enabled by the user)
  • Apple iCloud (if enabled by the user)

The Apps do not sell user data and do not use advertising networks or third-party marketing trackers.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Limited information may only be shared:

  • When required by law
  • To comply with legal obligations
  • To protect platform security and integrity

7. Children's Privacy

The Apps are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. User Controls

Users may:

  • Delete app data at any time
  • Remove the Apps from their device
  • Revoke HealthKit permissions
  • Disable notifications

9. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Continued use of the Apps after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

10. Clinical Screening Assessments and Attribution

Some apps include screening questionnaires that are widely used in clinical and research settings for educational, self-monitoring, and wellness purposes.

11. Medical Disclaimer

These apps are intended for informational, educational, and wellness purposes only.

The assessments, scores, trends, insights, and recommendations provided by these applications are not medical advice and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

Users should consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding any questions about their mental or physical health.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency or mental health crisis, contact emergency services or a qualified healthcare provider immediately.

12. Copyright and Intellectual Property Notice
